Campbell Elementary School Earns Prestigious Momentum Award for Student Achievement

Campbell, OH – February 19, 2025 – The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce has recognized Campbell City Schools with the 2024 Momentum Award, a prestigious honor given to districts and buildings that demonstrate outstanding improvement in student achievement while maintaining significant academic growth.

The award is granted to districts and schools that have improved their performance index by three or more points from the 2022-2023 report card to the 2023-2024 report card and have received a Value-Added Progress rating of four or more stars. Campbell City Schools met these high standards, earning an overall district rating of 3.5 stars and an impressive 4-star Progress rating, a testament to the dedication of students, staff, and the community.

Lisa Young, Principal of Campbell Elementary & Middle School, expressed pride in the students’ accomplishments, stating, "Our students have worked incredibly hard, and this award is a reflection of their dedication and resilience. I am beyond proud of them, as well as our teachers and staff, who continue to foster an environment of high expectations and growth."
