CEMS Update: Shout out to our literacy team in the Literacy Lounge! Amazing work happens on a daily basis with our upcoming readers and these students always leave with a smile!
THANK YOU to our students, families, staff and the community for an amazing Community Night this past Thursday!
We had over 200 guests who enjoyed free admission to educational activities, games, prizes and food - and most importantly - had a good time! We hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did and look forward to our next opportunity to see you all!
CEMS Update: Mrs. Hoffman’s 6th graders have been hard at work practicing writing claims and using evidence to support their claim to persuade their peers! This is a critical skill for our developing writers and a great way to get students engaged in healthy discussion about their perspectives!
CEMS Update: Mrs. Hudran’s Kindergarten class enjoyed a PBIS Pancake Party! They worked very hard to earn these delicious pancakes. They have been preparing for several weeks by writing about the process of how to make pancakes and they created a list of supplies that were needed to make the party a success. Students also had to earn their PBIS points for being respectful, responsible, safe, and accountable in the classroom.
CEMS Update: The 2nd graders from Mrs. Ugolini’s class visited Mr. Ralf in the Campbell CLWCC. The students created tornadoes in a bottle and were able to take the project home to recreate the experiment! All of the students were engaged and had a great time learning about air pressure and how it can create a perfect storm - always a great time!
CEMS Update: Mrs. Jackson’s kindergarten class got a nice surprise from a leprechaun today! Everyone looks like they enjoyed it!
CEMS Update: Mrs. Dill’s 1st Graders took advantage of the day and practiced making graphs using lucky charms! No leprechauns we’re in sight but they did leave behind some surprises today!
CEMS Update: Mrs. Ross’s 1st grade class also made presentations to the class about their leprechaun traps inspired by ”How to Catch a Leprechaun”! They discussed the materials they used and how they made their traps in front of their whole class!
CEMS Update: A special thanks to our Educational Assistants; they are supporting our students and classrooms every single day. If you walk the halls, you are sure to see them working one on one or in small groups helping students develop the skills they need on an individualized basis. They coach, they encourage and they celebrate with their students as progress is made and it's wonderful to see!
